This shade has a 12 inch bottom diameter and comes to a complete point at the top. The look is stunning. It was a challenge to create, but I think the end result is worth it.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eBecause of the unusual shape of this lamp shade, there are some extra considerations when choosing this lamp shade. Since there is no hole at the top to allow the heat to escape, this shade can only be used with a low wattage, LED light bulb. Preferably, a shorter or globe light bulb would be ideal. Because of this shade shape, it has the potential to get warm quicker, so this would be a nice solution for an accent lamp that isn't left on for long periods of time. I found that it chameleons it's way into any space - simultaneously blending in and standing out. It worked in any room I put it in, and changed beautifully with the light.
