This Candle Refill Wax Kit is for fragrance-free candle repours. This kit will come with step-by-step instructions, but if you are new to candle making and would like a more comprehensive package that includes everything you need including vessels, please check out my Complete Candle Making Kit.
I love taking an unused, vintage bowl and turning it into a candle that I can enjoy night after night in my living room. One pour (well, technically two, but we can get into that in the instructions) can turn your old candle vessel or your vintage bowl into a new candle.
Whether you have purchased one of my vintage candles in the past or you would like to remake one of your own, this kit offers you the basics to do just that. Included in this kit is a pouch of my premium soy and beeswax blend of long-burning wax, fragrance oil, and wicks with wick stickers (two to 2 wicks per 8 oz. of wax). If you have purchased your candle from me, I have a log of which size wick each candle used. If you have not purchased your candle vessel from me, please include the diameter of your candle (and shape if it is something other than round) so I can select the proper wick size for you.
INCLUDES:Pouch of premium soy + beeswax blend long-burning wax
Wick(s)
Wicker sticker(s)
Additional items needed for candle making that are not included in this refill kit:Vessel (choose a vessel carefully as it will have to be able to handle the heat of the flame and hot wax - so ceramic, glass, and metal are all nice options, but no plastic, etc.)
Thermometer (needs to be able to read 185 degrees F for a full wax melt, and 140 degrees F for your pouring temperature)
Melting pitcher (a heat safe pyrex measuring pitcher or smaller pot could work for this, something that can handle the hot wax)
Stirring spoon (for stirring the wax, a metal table spoon would be fine)
Double boiler (a large pot on the stove that your melting pitcher fits into works here)
Paper towels (for clean up - liquid wax is very easy to wipe up with paper towels)
Note: This kit is for repouring fragrance free candles. If you are unsure of how much wax to purchase, please contact me for additional instructions.
