This sweet candle is a little different than my vintage brass candles, but I couldn't stop looking at it. The copper has just the right patina, emphasized by the folds, ruffles, or wrinkles, whatever you would like to call this striking detail. When I look at it, I see crumpled up paper in these shapes. Seeing this form in metal is so intriguing to me. Pair the deep burnt orange color of this copper with its dramatic curves, and I just had to see what it would look like as a candle. I am not disappointed. I think it's super cool.
Truly a vintage piece, this copper piece is tarnished with signs of ware, and that's what makes it so gorgeous.
The vessels in my vintage candle collection can be used to hold jewelry, candy, or keys; and they can also be repoured as candles all over again. It's a beautiful cycle.
