It's rare for me to find vintage brass pieces with beautiful lids. Often times, they don't have the original lid, and the one it has doesn't fit quite right, or most often, the lid was lost a long time ago.
I always look for these beautiful pieces, but I'm also pretty picky about the ones I like. This one, though, I like. The proportions are lovely. The brass has just the right amount of patina. And the ornamentation is geometric and simple. I love it. And it's size makes it even cuter.
Truly a vintage piece, this brass piece is tarnished with signs of ware, and that's what makes it so gorgeous.
