I often get asked if the bells actually work on my tassels and how loud they are. Usually, the bells don't really make a sound, but this little bell has a little ring to it. Not overpowering, but if it gets a shake, you'll know.
This cotton tassel is inspired by some of my new tassel styles with a suspended glass bead. My new styles explored different color mixing, but I loved returning to neutral colors and a bell with this tassel. By combining the glass bead and suspended technique with my classic wooden top beads, the affect reminds me of a fisherman's net and sea glass. It's subtle, but unexpected, and with the tarnished brass bell, it really looks like something that could have be found in an old seaside shack.
This one-of-a-kind tassel definitely has it's own look and personality. It is such a fun and unexpected detail to add to a room. Hang it from a door knob or from a blanket ladder, or even on a narrow wall that has be asking for a piece of art.
Tassels can be brushed with a comb or trimmed with a scissors if needed in the future.
