PLEASE NOTE: When checking out, please include three things in the Special Instructions box at checkout.

  1. The HARDWARE DROP HEIGHT*
  2. Whether the Euro Fitter will be on the top or the bottom of the shade (most often, for pendant lights the fitter is on the top; and for table lamps, the fitter is on the bottom)
  3. If you need a nonstandard size Euro Fitter**

*The HARDWARE DROP is how deep the hardware is recessed into the shade as measured from the edge of the shade. It is most commonly between 0"-3", but unlike spider rings, there is no standard height. Every shade can be different as it was designed to compliment the needs of its specific lamp. If you choose the wrong drop height, your shade will not sit at the correct height on the lamp. For more information about measuring the drop on your current lamp shade, please visit my Drop Height blog post.

This fabric is named after Calacatta Gold Marble because of it's beautiful color palette. A subtle blend of tans, taupes, and warm grey with a background of ivory makes this lamp shade a great option to pair with wooden lamp bases. It is cool enough for your vintage lamp but fresh enough for your contemporary lamp. It works well with a variety of styles and colors, and it is a great way to refresh your space. I personally love the warmth this shade offers while still giving great light when lit. It is sophisticated and effortless.

This shade comes standard with a ecru triangle stitch detail at the seam.

The shade shown in the photos is a 15"D x 10"H shade with a 1" drop in brass finish.

Pro Tip: For optimal performance, choose your bulb based on your shade size and not on what your lamp base can handle.

While LEDs emit less heat than the old incandescent bulbs, heat output is not the only thing that affects the well-being of your shade. Lumen output can still have an affect on how quickly a shade yellows with time. A larger shade can handle a higher wattage (or lumen output) bulb, and a smaller shade can handle a lower wattage bulb

Lumen output is how we determine wattage equivalents. A 60W incandescent light bulb that uses 60 watts of power gives off a minimum of 800 lumens of light. A 60W equivalent LED light bulb also gives off a minimum of 800 lumens. This lumen output can still affect a lampshade over time, even if we don't see any immediate damage being done and it never gets warm. I recommend not using more than a 40W equivalent on a 9 in. diameter shade.
