The beads at the top are a mixture of wooden beads, and the smoothest black bead I've ever felt. The beads around the center are lava beads.
Made of cotton cord, black twine, wooden beads, and lava beads, this tassel is unlike any tassel I've ever made before. I love to play around with new ideas, and when I start working I don't have a clear view of the final product. Sometimes in the middle of the process, a personality starts to form (yes, I'm silly), and each tassel comes into it's own. I just can't help but think that if this tassel could talk, I know exactly who it would sound like - Moira Rose!
Now, what to do with this babe? Whatever you want! You can hang it from your bedroom doorknob. Add to to a stair railing, a blanket ladder, or a bookcase. Loop it onto an old key. It's gorgeous for that locking curio in the dining room. Any glass cabinet of curiosities is just calling for a furniture tassel in my opinion.
I play around with looping tassels into my lamp shades, but you can also use them in curtain tie backs for a more traditional use. I've even used small tassels wrapped around my candles (when they aren't lit of course), and around lidded containers in the bathroom and kitchen. I look forward to seeing the creative ways you will find to use this tassel!
Tassels can be brushed with a comb or trimmed with a scissors if needed in the future.
